How to Measure Your Room?

Measuring your room helps you choose the right size sofa and plan a comfortable layout.

Step 1: Measure the room size

Length and width of the room

Note windows, radiators, sockets, and doors

Step 2: Mark the sofa area

Measure the wall or space where the sofa will sit.

Step 3: Measure access routes

Doorways (width and height)

Hallways

Staircases and landings (especially tight turns)

Step 4: Plan clearance

As a general guideline, leave around 50 cm clearance for walkways where possible.

Draw a simple floor plan and write the measurements on it - this makes choosing the right configuration much easier.
